A Friend's Story
I had some shocking news today from my girlfriend of many years. Her husband had already gone through one brain tumor and had recovered from this so well. Today I found out he got another one and is in a nursing home unable to walk or eat or talk yet. We hadn't talked to each other for quite some time so I talked to her and I hope I kinda made her feel better. We will see Tom when my husband and I are off on Thursday. When you hear this kind of stuff it all sounds unreal like news that only happens in the movies but this is real life and I know someone that is having a rough deal on life. Tom is not much older than us, his wife is almost ten years older than him so she always told Tom jokingly "you'll be taking care of me" and yet no the tables are turned and she will be taking care of him. He may never walk or he could improve,I guess time will tell. Tom's first tumor was a case of him getting vertigo and he went first to the eye doctor. He then went to a doctor who found it in his brain. They have a trailer home which has a ramp from her Mom that had owned it before they bought it from her so she could go to assisted living. The trailer does have the modifications already done so that is one expense she won't have if he can ever come home. It is a sad kind of shock to us both. There is always someone worse off as they so often say.

My favorite Christmas Memory
My favorite memory of Christmas was always visiting my Gram's and one time we visited her till dark and we had to walk home.We were a family of six and we all started walking down the snowy street. We kids must have been all under 10. We looked up at the stars and saw a red light. Dad told us it must be Santa. We all got so excited and happy to see Santa's lights.I will always remember the joy I felt then. I miss my Gram but I can look at the stars and still say hi Gram, I love you.

A Contest at All Romance Ebooks
Dear Santa,
I have been a very good girl this year. What do I want for the holidays? An iPhone/iTouch so that I can use Stanza to read all the romance I need from all the publishers I love that I buy at All Romance eBooks. You see, Santa, I deserve the iPhone/iTouch because... I know I won't buy a gift to myself like this but I also know I would enjoy it very much.
